MAE ESCOBAR

Mae Escobar is CEO of aMAEzing Marketing & Special Events and has over 26 years of strategic marketing, public relations, hospitality and special events experience.

BIOGRAPHY:
From 2001-2004, Escobar was Vice President National Marketing Manager for all new bank branches in the 12-state footprint of the former Bank One, N.A. (now Chase).

Additional responsibilities included national brand development, marketing campaigns, training and special events in order to increase profitability for shareholders. Her marketing model was adopted by Chase in July 2004.

During her term with Bank One, Escobar was the Southern Region Field Marketing Manager for Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma, Area Marketing Manager for Texas and Local Marketing Manager in San Antonio. Her responsibilities included implementation of all national programs and the design and implementation of local strategic marketing plans.

She represented the Southern region as the marketing liaison on all national and regional cross-functional marketing teams and was responsible for new account growth and awareness of the Bank One brand.

She developed a regional program to increase accounts through a co-op program with the Dallas Cowboys football organization and a national program “Family Fun Day” with Radio Disney. Escobar began her career as a Public Relations Manager for a regional Savings & Loan headquartered in San Antonio.

The San Antonio native is a 1983 graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University and has a bachelor’s degree in media communication arts. She as the 2005 Outstanding Alumni for her volunteer service to the San Antonio community.

She volunteered on the board of trustees for the Cancer Center Council where she chaired the Woman-to-Woman conference in January 2007.

In 2000, she was named by the San Antonio Business Journal “40 under 40” for her contribution to the San Antonio civic and business community.  She has numerous national, regional and local awards for her campaigns with the American Cancer Society, Muscular Dystrophy Association and Toastmasters International. Escobar has been a guest speaker at numerous luncheons and special events in and around the San Antonio area.

Additional marketing and special events consulting services have been performed for Arcos Communications in New York and Peak Performance of Michigan.  aMAEzing served as the event coordinator at the convention of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs in 2008 and 2009.
