He also keeps abreast of latest developments in New Media, such as blogging, Facebook and Twitter that can be beneficial to clients. He continues to use his experience as a former reporter that proves valuable with his work in public relations.

Arispe wrote feature stories, profiles, human interest and health and fitness articles for the San Antonio Express-News S.A. Life section on a regular basis as freelance writer from 1997-2004. In July 2004, he became a full-time staff writer for Conexion, a weekly Hispanic market publication of the San Antonio Express-News. Arispe took it upon himself to become the arts and entertainment writer and produced three to five in-depth stories per week. His secondary beat involved covering health and medical stories. Arispe also wrote a variety of business profiles and sports features. He also guided less experienced reporters and interns by helping them identify sources for stories, edited their stories and taught them AP style.

He also worked with other account executives to brainstorm ideas for community relations events and press conferences for their accounts. He also wrote press releases and pitched stories to media highlighting United Way’s leadership in providing health and human services to community. In addition, he wrote copy for campaign brochures and pamphlets. Arispe spearheaded publicity for all annual special events, handled crisis communications, acted as spokesperson and served as in-house photographer.
